One of the reasons I love NY so much is the very fact that I can see some of the world's greatest art from Giovanni Bellini's St. Francis in the Desert at the Frick Collection to Andy Warhol's Gold Marilyn Monroe at the MoMA. Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty has to be one of my favorite exhibitions to date. The Met did an excellent job! The displays, visual effects, and music all created an experience of wonderment. One of the most moving and profound moments of the show was the hologram of Kate Moss. "I want to be honest about the world that we live in, and sometimes my political persuasions come through in my work. Fashion can be really racist, looking at the clothes of other cultures as costumes... That's mundane and it's old hat. Let's break down some barriers." —Alexander McQueen
